A new cast for ‘Carmen’

‘Carmen’ has opened for a second run of performances at Glyndebourne with Anja Bihlmaier conducting, and five dynamic new cast members joining the original company, directed by Laura: Aigul Akhmetshina as Carmen, Evan Leroy Johnson as Don José, Łukasz Goliński as Escamillo, Janai Brugger as Micaela and Thomas Mole as Moralès.

OperaWire’s glowing review of the opening performance on the 1st August called it “a remarkable triumph”.
