Following postponement due to COVID19, climate oratorio Our Future In Your Hands received its hotly-anticipated performances as part of Buxton International Festival (BIF) earlier this summer.

The piece gives voice to the hopes and fears of young people today as they face a world in crisis that they will one day inherit. It was commissioned originally by BIF in partnership with the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL), and was premiered by the Multi-Story Orchestra in autumn 2021.

Conducted by Tom Newall, the oratorio was performed to appreciative audiences by choirs drawn from local schools and joined by soloists from the Buxton Festival Company, alongside young instrumentalists from the RNCM and their mentors from the Northern Chamber Orchestra.
