Genesis Foundation project grants

Two projects in which Laura is involved have been awarded funding by the Genesis Foundation as part of the £1m Kickstarter Fund for creative freelancers:

• Oratorio Our Future In Your Hands, which Laura has written with composer Kate Whitley, will be premiered by The Multi-Story Orchestra later this year. The piece is a brand-new choral and orchestral commission about the global youth protest against climate change. The project brings together 38 freelance musicians who make up its orchestra, 3 world-renowned opera soloists and over 100 young singers.

• Filmmaker Alisdair Kitchen’s innovative Follow The Lieder series will return for a second season, including newly commissioned work from Laura and composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad.
