‘Belongings’ in Montpellier

The beautiful 2023 Parisian production of Laura’s youth opera, ‘Belongings’, written with composer Lewis Murphy, will be revived by Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier for a new set of performances in 2024.

Directed by Benoît Benichou, with a stunning French translation by Delphine Malik, the production - which premiered at the Philharmonie de Paris earlier this year - finds new resonances in the piece through the narrative framework of a peace conference. Jérôme Pillement will conduct the revival production.

Performances will be in April, with more information available online here.
