Two songs for Samling | Wigmore Hall

  • Wigmore Hall 36 Wigmore Street London, England, W1U 2BP United Kingdom (map)

Mezzo-soprano Beth Moxon performs two of Laura’s songs at Wigmore Hall as part of the Samling Artists concert, Musing In Solitude

In a frenetic world where there never seems time 'to stop and stare', this evening of song celebrates the art of contemplation and what it means to be alive. Drawing inspiration from the poetry of the Romantics to the present day the programme will reflect 'On Man, On Nature and On Human Life'.

Beth will give a world premiere to the song ‘Onwards’ by Laura and composer Lewis Murphy, and will also perform ‘Constellations’ by Laura and composer Yshani Perinpanayagam.

The artists giving this recital are all alumni of the acclaimed Samling Artist Programme, a life-changing residential masterclass course for early-career singers and pianists, led by world-renowned singers, conductors, pianists, coaches and actors.
